LaserLaser hair removal: what to expect from your first session
From prep to aftercare, a simple guide to comfortable, lasting results at our Fort Myers medical spa — and how many sessions you will really need.
Nobody should walk into a laser appointment unsure of what is about to happen. Here is exactly how a first session runs at our atelier in Fort Myers.
Before you come in
Shave the area the day before — do not wax or pluck, because the laser needs the follicle intact to work. Come with clean skin, no lotion or deodorant on the area, and avoid heavy sun exposure in the days before. If you are unsure about any of this, ask us when you book; we would rather move your appointment than treat skin that is not ready.
The consultation, then the session
Laser is a medical-grade treatment, so the first visit always begins with a short personalized consultation in English or Spanish. We assess your skin and hair, explain what is realistic for you, and agree the plan. Then the session itself: a single area takes about 30 minutes with our diode cold-laser technology, which keeps the surface of the skin cool while the pulse reaches the follicle. Most people describe it as a warm snap, not pain.
How many sessions, and what it costs
Hair grows in cycles, and the laser only reaches follicles in the active phase — that is why results come from a course of sessions, not one visit. The exact number depends on the area, your hair type and your skin, and we give you an honest estimate at the consultation. Single areas such as arms or legs start at $75; full body is $250 as a bundled value, with the final price confirmed in person.
Afterwards
Brief redness is normal and settles quickly. We send you home with aftercare guidance for your skin type — sun protection matters most in Florida. Questions between sessions are welcome: call or text (239) 985-9407, or come see us at 4650 S Cleveland Ave #3B, Fort Myers, FL 33907.
